New Toe River Canoe Trail Map is NOW AVAILABLE!

The new Toe River Canoe Trail Map produced by the Toe River Valley Watch is now available. The Canoe Trail runs 37 miles down the North Toe River from Riverside Park in Spruce Pine to Poplar. The trail travels through Class I II and III rapids, passing primarily undeveloped forest and farmland. The map is a great resource for paddlers and includes information on several intake locations including directions, tips, parking areas, a review of the water in each location, as well as warnings. The maps are available for purchase through the Mitchell County Chamber of Commerce for $10 each and will be available at other locations soon. Contact the Chamber if you would like to purchase a map.
